INTRODUCTION The Illinois Building Commission was created effective January 1, 1998. The Commission serves State agencies, the public and the building industry. The Commission is required to resolve conflicting policy between State agencies and/or related entities, as well as suggest long term administrative improvements in an effort to expedite the building process. FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS There were no material findings disclosed during our audit tests. We commend the Board for maintaining an effective system of internal control. AUDITORS' OPINION We conducted a compliance audit of the Commission as required by the Illinois State Auditing Act. The Board had no locally-held funds. Consequently, there were no financial statements requiring an audit.
