REASONS FOR USING EMERGENCY METHOD OF SOURCE SELECTION

To properly conduct the statutorily required audit of the Criminal Justice Information Authority for the period ended June 30, 2009, the audit needs to begin as soon as possible.  Following internal discussions, it was determined we did not have sufficient internal staff resources to conduct this engagement.  Insufficient time exists to conduct the usual request for proposals competitive selection process prior to July 9th.

 

A fair and reasonable price was negotiated with Bronner Professional Services Inc. which has experience with the Auditor General's program and has sufficient staff and expertise to perform this audit and begin work within the necessary timeframe to avoid serious disruption in OAG audit services.
