REASON FOR SELECTING HIGHER PRICED VENDOR

One proposal exceeded the maximum number of engagements addressed on page 11 of the RFP document under "Audit/Engagement Limitations and/or Considerations."  After eliminating this firm from further consideration on this engagement, the next ranked proposal was Martin & Shadid.  In accordance with the procedures established by the RFP, we rquested a best and final price offer from Martin & Shadid.  The firm responded by reducing their price offer.

 

The proposal by Martin & Shadid was responsible, responsive, and the best and final price was fair and reasonable.
