INTRODUCTION
The Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities is a
29-member body created by the Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities
Law (20 ILCS 4010/2003). The Council’s
function is to serve as an advocate for all persons with developmental
disabilities to assure that they receive the services and other assistance and
opportunities necessary to enable them to achieve their maximum potential
through increased independence, productivity, and integration into the
community.
This digest covers the compliance examination of the
Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities for the two years ended June 30,
2011.
There were no material findings of noncompliance disclosed
during our examination.
AUDITORS' OPINION
We conducted a compliance examination of the Council as
required by the Illinois State Auditing Act.
The Council has no funds that require an audit leading to an opinion on
financial statements.
