INTRODUCTION

The Legislative Reference Bureau (Bureau)
is a service bureau responding to the
needs of the General Assembly pursuant to
the Legislative Reference Bureau Act (25
ILCS 135) and the Legislative Commission
Reorganization Act of 1984 (25 ILCS 130).
The Bureau collects, summarizes, and
indexes all bills, resolutions, and
amendments introduced in the General
Assembly and prepares, prints and
distributes a Legislative Synopsis and
Digest for the members.

There were no material findings of
noncompliance disclosed during our
examination.

ACCOUNTANT’S OPINION

The accountants conducted a State
compliance examination of the Bureau for
the two years ended June 30, 2025, as
required by the Illinois State Auditing
Act.  The accountants stated the Bureau
complied, in all material respects, with
the requirements described in the report.

This State compliance examination was
conducted by Borschnack, Pelletier & Co.
