INTRODUCTION

This digest covers our financial audit of the Evergreen Terrace Family Housing HUD project for the year ended June 30, 2002. A financial audit covering the Carbondale Foundation as a whole is being issued under separate cover. A compliance audit covering the two years ended June 30, 2003 will be issued at a later date.

Our audit contains one procedural finding identifying the implementation of a policy without first seeking approval from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Foundation stated that approval from HUD would be requested. (Finding 02-01, page 35)

 

AUDITORS’ OPINION

Our auditors stated the June 30, 2002 financial statements of the Evergreen Terrace Family Housing HUD project are fairly presented.
