INTRODUCTION The Sex Offender Management Board (Board) was established by the Sex Offender Management Board Act on July 22, 1997 to standardize the evaluation, identification, counseling, and continued monitoring of sex offenders at each stage of the criminal or juvenile justice systems or mental health systems. There were no material findings of noncompliance disclosed during our audit tests. We commend the Board for maintaining an effective system of internal control.
AUDITORS OPINION We conducted a compliance audit of the Board as required by the Illinois State Auditing Act. The Board had no locally-held funds. Consequently, there were no financial statements requiring an audit.
